Sperati I reported only having seen a proof impressions of a single 4p+3p se-tenant pair in the blue green color of the 3p (a 4p cliché placed in a 3p plate) and proofs of three backprints. This was made from separate clichés of 3p and 4p. Since that publication a finished reproduction of the 4p has been found and is shown below.

1. there is a break in the outer frameline above the first "R" of "CORREOS"

2. the line is broken under the "C" of "Ce"


1877 Issue 5c

(new in Sperati II from a negative in Paris Museum)

1. the line over the top caption has breaks NW of the "P,'' above the left of the "R," above the right of the "C," above the right of the "O," over the first "7" and above the second "7"

2 the "I" of "RICO" has a bite from its left side, below its mid-point

3. the "l" of "l877" has a dent in its right side, at mid-height


1877 Issue 10c

(new in Sperati II from a negative in Paris Museum)

1. there are breaks in the line above "RICO" over the right side of the "O" and above the "l" of " l877"

2. the "C" of "RICO" has two colorless dots toward the end of its lower arm and another in the upper part of of its lower horizontal at the right

3. the "O" of "RICO" has a nick on its inside at the NE corner


1878 Issue 10c

(new in Sperati II from a negative in Paris Museum)

1. the outer lower frame line has a weak spot in its top side, below the "T" of "PESETA"

2. in the upper panel there is a break in the lower frame line below and to the right of the "P"


1890 Issue 4m

1. there is a small dot of color just under the upper left serif of "M" of "MILS"

2. there is a spot of color joining the lower left serif of the "S" of "PESO" to the bottom frameline


1890 Issue 6m

1. the head of the "R" of "RICO" is detached from the upright

2. there is a white spot in the lower half of the upright of "R" of "PUERTO"
 


1890 Issue 8m

1. there is a break in frameline above the numeral "8"

2. there is a nick in bottom frameline beneath the "I" of "MILS"


1890 Issue 40c

1. there is a defect in the upper left side of the "P" in "PUERTO"

2. there is a heavy dot under the "I" of "RICO"

3. there is a white spot in hear opposite the lower lobe of ear


1890 Issue 80c

1. there is a faint nick on the top of the upper frameline between the "UE" of "PUERTO"

2. there is a break in the inner vertical line to the left of the "P" of "PUERTO"


1891 Issue 80c (only a cliché is noted)

1. there is a spot on the nape of the neck

2. there is a spot on oval frameline opposite the top of the era

3. there is a break in bottom frameline below the "D" of "DE"


1897 Issue 80c (only a proof has been noted)

1. there is a break in the vertical frame line to the left of "P" of "PUERTO"

2. there are several dots of color in top label including one in center of the "P"

3. there are several colored spots in the lower panel
