1880 Issue 4d and 6d

For Tobago Sperati made reproductions of the 1884 issue 4d and 6d. Genuine stamps with design removed were used and cancels are forged. They were printed using two clichés.

1880 Issue 4d

1. there is a  a white spot inside the top arm of the "G" of "TOBAGO"

2. there is a flaw at the end of the top loop of the "S" of "POSTAGE"

3. there is a weakness in the inner frameline below the "CE" of "PENCE" that appears as a lighter color
1880 Issue 6d

1. there is a dot of color in the top horizontal of the "E" of "POSTAGE"

2. there is a colored line through the white oval below the "O" of "TOBAGO"

3. There are patches in the background behind the the letters "BAGO" of "TOBAGO"

4. there is a white flaw to the bottom right of the "O" of "POSTAGE" at the base
