Thurn and Taxis

Sperati is known to have made proofs of the 1858 issue one-third silver grochen. Since Sperati I was published a finished reproduction with forged cancel has been seen (Sir Gawaine Baillie collection).

1852 Issue 18kr

1. there are colored spots in the backgrounds above the "i' in top panel and in the ornament at bottom right

2. the field background behind numerals of value varies in intensity instead of the uniform appearance of genuine
