Malta

1860 Issue ½d
1886 Issue 5s

Sperati reproduced the Malta 1860 issue half pence on genuine watermarked stamp paper. In additional to the proofs, unused reproductions are known. The 1886 issue 5s was first documented in Sperati II. This forgery was produced by photo-lithography instead of the typography of the genuine. Two unused copies on genuine paper have been seen. The color is a pale rose.
